Frequently Asked Questions
Are you confidential?
Yes. I treat confidentiality with similar rules of therapists and lawyers. Everything we say is confidential, unless you share a crime or intention to harm yourself or others.
If I ever share stories inspired by our time together, they would be completely anonymized and unlinkable to you.
How do you handle different belief systems or worldviews?
I take a holistic approach. I don’t impose a worldview. I meet people where they are.
Some people want strictly practical, tactical coaching. Others want to explore meaning, purpose, intuition, or take a more holistic view of their work, leadership, and life. I’m comfortable working across that spectrum, as long as it serves your growth and outcomes.
Do you work with neurodivergent / neuroatypical people?
Yes. I work well with many neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD, autism, giftedness, or other forms of atypical cognition.
I value all gifts, and do not view neurodivergence as something to “fix.” I focus on helping you understand how your mind works, design environments and roles that fit you better, and turn differences into strengths—always grounded in outcomes and self-worth.
What are you best at coaching?
I help people through 5 situational stages. These are completely circumstantial, not identity-based.
Stage 1. In a toxic workplace.
Developmental goal: get to a healthy situation in the same or new workplace.
Stage 2. Healthy workplace, but quiet cracking.
Developmental goal: get workload to manageable and address burnout.
Stage 3. Thriving
Developmental goal: get workload to 85–70% making room for strategic new work
Stage 4. Innovating
Developmental goal: make meaningful change in the world
Stage 5. Healthy leadership
Developmental goal: develop and support more healthy and innovative leaders
How do you think about goals and outcomes?
We start with what you want for yourself, your circle, and the world.
Often, people begin with goals that feel safe or immediately practical. As we work together and your self-worth and clarity grow, those goals often expand. I’ll help you see what’s possible, but the direction and ambition always remain yours.
The more candid you can be with me—within moral and legal boundaries—the more precisely I can support you.
Are you recommending that I leave my job and become an entrepreneur?
No. I often find that people are happiest in their current roles if we can position you better. However, I ultimately want you to make a decision grounded in your own self-worth and outcomes.
Can you help me with finding a new job?
That’s not my strength, though I can refer you to others. I can help you with positioning yourself as powerful, negotiating, improving your resume, and role playing interview scenarios.
Why do you call it an investment?
I deliver ROI to both business and human outcomes.
For business outcomes, I aim to bring you greater earner potential in your job.
For human outcomes, I restore self-worth, hone your gifts, and bring energy, agency, holistic health, and leadership impact.
What makes a good fit?
I have the skills and knowledge to help you and you are willing to do the self-loving work to grow.
Consequently a poor fit would be: I cannot help you, you’re unwilling to take responsibility for your part, or ethical or legal mismatch.
You would take me on even if I’m not a fit, wouldn’t you?
No. My calling is to empower people to know their worth and use their gifts to make meaningful change. If you don’t want to do that or I cannot help you do that, I would rather you find someone who can.
Are you a psychotherapist?
No. But I work with therapists and my work is complementary to therapeutic approaches.
Can you help me with an employment legal matter?
No. I’m not a lawyer. It is better to search for a local attorney who can support you. Search terms are “employment lawyer” or “labor lawyer.”
Is this related to your work at Microsoft?
No. Not at all. This is completely moonlighting. And I cannot help you get a job within Microsoft, make a recommendation, share anything confidential, or share in any way that would be competitive to or otherwise harm Microsoft.
